A sage was silently sitting on a river bank. His eyes were closed and was medidating. It seemed, even the sage's saffron attaire was not moving against the breeze. As if all the elements were in his control. The atmosphere was serene.
His disciple had a wavering mind and was unable to control his feelings and wanted to know from the great sage as to how to control mind.
Still the sage was silently sitting.
Now the disciple just sat infront of the sage for a while, at a very close distance.. He too pretended to do like the sage, inspired by the sage's jesture. More so, he did not want to disturb the Sage and invite trouble.
The disciple somehow continued just like that and he was fully on the job for some seconds, minutes, hours. The disciple started feeling better and better.
Some hours passed and both opened their eyes. The sage said with an attractive smile, I think you have the got the answer to your query. You were not earlier concentrating on any thing. Now, simply seeing me and following me inadvertantly with cool mind... that fetched required result. Being cool and Concentration is the remedy for wavering mind, he added.
The disciple was happy and started concentrating on whatever he was doing. One more good soul on its way...
