First comes the Vande... mother is to be worshiped first. The composer hada clear vision about what he wanted to say. That itself guided the song to become a great one.
At least in this part of the world, lover and respect for Mothers will never die. So is motherland.
As in one of my poetries, I have said " MOTHER' literally covers all the 'OTHER'.

On the good side, Chennai is a place where Culture like Music and Dance flourish to a great extent. The numbers of Music Institutions and Sabhas are telling the fact. Well said. There is none like Mahatma Gandhi with us. Even Mahatma was shot dead. Every one thinks what he does is correct. Ego to the core with everybody.
Right from attaire to culture, there has been considerable impact and in the process we have almost forgetton. The next generation may not know what our good culture had been once.
On the other hand, Foreigners are learning from us sincerely. This way also we would become slaves to once again for the sake of learning our own 'departed' culture.
